Association of Industrial Laser Users (AILU)

AILU, the Association of Industrial Laser Users, is run by and for the industrial laser manufacturing community. Based in the UK, it has members from 12 countries, and from the complete supply chain of industrial lasers.

It exists to grow laser adoption by connecting, empowering and guiding new and existing users of industrial lasers globally.

AILU supports the progression and acceptance of laser technology through raising awareness and fostering research and development of laser technologies and applications. AILU also seeks to create a more diverse laser community.

A strong repertoire of world-class events brings the academic and industrial communities together, and The Laser User magazine, published quarterly, informs and educates members of the association. Social media platforms also encourage wider international engagement.

Every 2 years, the ILAS (Industrial Laser Application Symposium) gathers over 200 members of the industrial laser community to share information on the latest in applications and technologies, and to meet and network with around 30 exhibiting companies. The next ILAS will be in March 2027.
